First Soccer Game

Susannah had her first soccer game Tuesday night. Technically we don't keep score...but Susannah's team won! Go Red Rangers! We had so much fun watching them play. Susannah had a great time, even though there wasn't too much soccer playing going on on her part. It was a little confusing because at practice everyone has a ball. She didn't quite understand why she didn't always get to kick it to the goal and "win" and there were a few tears when the ball got kicked away from her. But overall I think she really enjoyed herself and I think she'll get the hang of it in time. Hope the videos work...sorry if they're a little shaky. The camcorder had a dead battery so we had to use the camera phone.

Susannah's i

When I was teaching the kids always loved writing on the dry erase boards. So, the other day I was looking at the clearance school supplies at Target and came across a big pack of dry erase markers and an eraser for a little over $2. I picked them up knowing that Susannah would love to write on our board at home. She had great time drawing and writing and whenever I wrote her name she told me to put a "dot". So, someone in her class must have an i in their name! So, I taught her how to make a line and then add a dot to write an i. She was very proud!

Making S'mores

Susannah has been talking about going camping forever! Charlie said when the weather gets a little cooler he would take her, but in the meantime we decided to make some s'mores. So we gathered some wood (thanks to the house they are building a few doors down we were able to find some scraps) and built a little fire in the backyard. Susannah liked roasting the marshmallows, but wasn't too crazy about the s'mores...or even the marshmallows. She just like the roasting...I guess she's going to be a pyro-maniac like her daddy!

Birthday Time

I never knew how many babies are born in this time of year. It seems like we have been going to birthday parties the past few week-ends! But we've had lots of fun. Friday night we had Grandpa over for his birthday. Susannah enjoyed helping make his birthday cake!

Labor Day

We had a great Labor Day week-end! We went to DeFuniak Springs to visit with Nanny and Pappy. Susannah had a great time at the pool and even swam without her "muscles." She would learn to do it now that summer is over! Susannah's favorite part was probably getting her new Ariel movie from Nanny and Pappy...I can't tell you how many times we've already watched it! We went to two yummy cook-outs and just enjoyed family time. Susannah attempted to spend the night with Nanny and Pappy on Sunday night. Charlie and I were back at our place for about 15 minutes when we heard a knock on our door...but we were proud of her for trying. Maybe next time. I wish I had some pics to share from the week-end but we didn't even take our camera out of the suitcase!

Soccer

We signed Susannah up for soccer this year. We thought it would be a great way to run out some of her energy! It's a 3 year old league so I'm sure it will be a mess! God bless the coach. We start practice next week but we went to meet her coach and pick up her uniform this week. She's a Red Ranger and very proud of her uniform! She had to put it on at the meeting and wore it the next day! She said people will look at her and say "oh, Susannah...go red rangers!"

Trip to Auburn

Last Friday Auburn University had lots of fun stuff going on around campus in preparation for the first game. Susannah and I went and had a great time! Just wanted to share this cute picture of her and Aubie...what a difference a year makes! Last year she wouldn't go anywhere near him. WAR EAGLE!

Susannah's First Day of School

Wow! Sorry it has been awhile since I last posted...I'm not sure what we have been doing but we've been keeping busy! For those who don't know, we had our ultrasound last month. Everything looks good and we are expecting another baby girl at the beginning of the year! We are all so excited! Susannah had her first day of pre-school last week. She did such a good job...I was a little worried but we only had a few tears. She had a great time! She told me she couldn't go to the "big playground because it was too wet" but she did get to play Duck, Duck, Goose, Ring Around the Rosy, and London Bridge. She is going three days a week and loves it! Here is a picture of her first day!

A visit to T-Town

Last week Charlie was in and out of town a lot with work, so Susannah and I went home to see Nan, Grandcracker, Uncle Josh, Aunt Jenny, and her favorite cousins, Brady and Cam. We had such a nice visit! When we got there, Susannah found the "ball gown" that Nan had bought her and had to put it on immediately. She looked so cute! On Wednesday, we went to a "Fancy Nancy" party at Barnes and Noble. Susannah had so much fun and it was cute to see all the girls dressed up. Sometimes Susannah gets a little shy around others, but she was right in the middle of things, helping the story-teller get dressed "fancy" and putting glitter everywhrer! Her favorite part was drinking her pink drink and eating her cookie with sprinkles. On Thursday Susannah got her first real big girl haircut! She's had a trim before but nothing like this. She was so excited about going to the beauty shop with Nan and she did a great job while Mrs. Sandra cut her hair. She was very happy with the end result (and so was I)! Now she thinks she got her hair cut like mommmy's. We did a few other things too...saw Aunt Jenny and the boys' new house, hung out with Uncle Josh, had the cousins spend the night with us at Nan's, and even got treated to a little concert by Susannah when she was dressed up in her "rockin' star" clothes.

Susannah's 3 Year Pictures

Cowgirl Couey

Yesterday when we went to church Susannah insisted on wearing a pretty dress and her "fancy pink cowboy boots." She even picked out a necklace to match. I wanted everyone to see how cute she looked!

4th of July

We went to Gulf Shores for the 4th with our friends, the Sirico's, and had such a great time! Susannah and Emma are just a month apart, and really kept each other entertained. Susannah didn't care too much for the beach, but had a great time at the pool...she loved being a "cheerleader"!

Susannah's Pictures

I finally had Susannah's 3 year portraits done today! They were at Monkey Park and I can't wait to see them. She was very excited to pick out a new dress and had a ball trying everything on in the dressing room! I think she posed more in the dressing room than she did at her pictures...oh well! At least I know we'll get some great candid shots! That's about all I expect these days. She is too busy to sit still...even for pictures! I'll get them back Tuesday and post soon!

Happy Valentine's Day

We've had a nice Valentine's Day. Susannah had a party at school. She was excited about her Barbie Valentine cards, but didn't really understand why she had to give them to her friends! The shirt that she wore was the dress she wore for her first Valentine's day! I can't believe how much she's grown!

SOLD

We sold our house a couple of days ago...we are so excited to get into our new house...we just dread the actual moving process!

Disney World

We had a great time at Disney World! Susannah had so much fun meeting all the characters and riding the rides! Since we've been home I've heard her talking in her sleep about wanting to ride Peter Pan. We saw a couple of shows, too. It was so cute when we were in the 3-D shows because Susannah would reach out to try and grab things. We ate dinner at Cinderella's Castle one night. Susannah was so excited to meet her and show Cinderella her glass slippers. For my birthday we had a late breakfast at Chef Mickey's and got to meet Mickey, Minne, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. It was lots of fun! The best part of the trip was just watching Susannah take everything in...it truly was a magical experience for her!
